I have one thing to say to Cindy:

Childish?  Yes.  Do I give a shit?  HELLZ NO!!!!!!

*Former Wing Chris Chelios is 99% sure that he's going to retire.  Per the Chicago Tribune: "I'm 99 percent sure that I think that will end it as a career," Chelios said. "I don't know if it's the right time to say it, but it has been a great opportunity for me for (27) years. Physically it has caught up. I always said I'd go out when there was nothing left in the tank and I think I'm there."

Snapshots has more details, plus a link to an audio interview Cheli did with Chicago Now's Patrick Boylan.

*Nick Lidstrom is throwing out the first pitch at today's Tiger's game!  If we play, that is.  It's been raining like a sonuvabitch here all morning.

*Speaking of Captain, my Captain, the Freep has a great article about Lidas and his MVP status in Detroit sports.

*I've decided that HALAK! is indeed a Mandroid.

*My Mikey C. had 7 goals against the Pens.  That makes 12 goals total during the first 2 rounds.

*In comparison, Rosby only had 1 goal this series and 6 in the first 2 rounds.

*Random trivia (courtesy the Montreal Gazette): The Canadiens opened the Mellon Arena against the expansion Penguins on Oct. 11, 1967, with a 2-1 victory. Now, 2,222 weeks later, the well-worn building has seen its final hockey game — a much more painful elimination of its prime tenant by Montreal, witnessed by a 165th consecutive sellout.

*The Habs have claimed hockey's Holy Grail 24 times.  The last was in 1993.  I'd say they're due for another.

*That was also the last time a Canadian team won the Stanley Cup.

*Another good article about the newer Wings and their thoughts on staying in Hockeytown.

*Alongside that article is a chart showing the salary situation for next year.

GO HABS GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
