Again!  Again!  Must.  See.  AGAIN!!!!!!!!!

I just got back from seeing MBV3-D.  I freakin' LOVED it!!!!!!!  The 3-D effects were pretty damn impressive, as was the gore.  Jensen looked totally gorgeous, of course!

Before the movie started (I was there like a frickin' hour early!), I was treated to some punk-ass almost puking in the lobby outside MBV's theater.  Trust me, it wasn't the movie.  Dude smelled like he fell in a vat of whiskey and I could smell it in the theater too.  Go you!

Anyhoo, I got to see some BTS/First Look short clips on the new season of Lost and one on Friday the 13th.  Wooooooo, Jared!  Yum!  I'm so going to see that in the theater as well.  The previews were decent as well, including F13, Crank 2: High Voltage, and The Haunting in Connecticut.  I hadn't heard of that one, but it looks pretty freakin' scary.

MBV3-D follows the same basic storyline of the original with only a few changes, most of which help, not hinder my enjoyment of this version.  I really only had issues with one change and those of you who see both versions will know what I'm talking about.  But, there were also some great shout-outs to the original, including a chase through the locker room.

The kills were all excellent, including one of the last ones.  I won't tell you which character it was, but trust me...it was TOTALLY AWESOME!!
*does the Gore!Girl!Watusi*  Yes, I am totally stealing Refur's dance ideas!  *grin*

The Miner character is really pretty terrifying.  The last time heavy breathing creeped me out that much was in Star Wars.

I absolutely adore Tom Atkins, so it really warmed my horror-loving heart (hee!) to see him here.  Also?  Did I mention how beautiful Jensen looked?!  I did?  Did I mention how hot he is when he says fuck?!  Kerr Smith also looked quite handsome, but I gotta tell ya...I did NOT care for his character at all!  *glares*

A bit of Trivia for those who care about stuff like this: in an early scene, one of the screenwriters, Todd Farmer, cameos as Frank the truck driver.  I've been reading his blog and I recognized him right away.  *is a dork*

My only regret is that I had to see it by myself, so I had no one to squee with over Jensen, the effects, or the gore.  But, even if I have to go by myself again, I'll be seeing this one a second time.  Hey, gotta support my boy!
ETA: Amazon is already taking alert notices for the dvd.  Hellz YEAH, I signed up!

Hi Liesl! Breathing, yes. :-D Good to see you! I've been hoping to be around more (and check out BFZ), but stuff upon stuff keeps coming up. Now I'm going to miss a few more days along with Supernatural tomorrow night. *feigns pouting* I'd be sad, but the real life circumstances are too real life to worry about a t.v show or much of anything else. My maternal grandmother is expected to pass away within the next few days, and my mom has asked to me travel with her to visit. And so. Life goes on... Hope to see you again someday??? In the meantime, take care of yourself! It's really super great to hear from you! *squishie hugs*

Kooshie, I'm sorry to hear about your grandmother. It's always hard to lose someone even though we know that they have lived a full life. Don't worry about missing the show, it'll be there when you get back. And we're all here if you ever need anything. My prayers to you & your family. God bless!

Its good to know that you enjoyed it, Rap! *as if* ;-) We probably won't get it until February here and I was really hoping to get a horror film one on one between JA & JP (LOL!) but I read that F13 won't be shown here until April. Oh well.

Anywho, glad you had a great time watching.

I'm glad you liked it!

My faint of heart little self will never be watchin' it though. (Well, maybe if I had Misha's shoulder to hide in. . . . Or Jensen's. . . . Or Jared's. Or JDM's . . . or . . .)

Hey Rap!

I saw it too! I went with a girlfriend on Tuesday night. It was everything a horror movie should be, Lots of gore, full frontal nudity, a mystery as to who exactly the killer was.... Loved it! I had my suspicions as to who the killer was but really didnt'see it comming. Bravo Jensen! He really sold this tortured soul of a character.

I saw the first one when I was a kid but I don't remember too many of the details. I really liked certain scenes that payed homage to the origional. Anyone feel like doing some laundry?!

Glad you liked it.
I thought it was a real trip!

Hi Rap,

I absolutely adored it. Jensen's freckles in 3D were awesome. Not to mention Jensen in a hoodie.

I jumped and screamed and hid my eyes and laughed and gasped and it was just so great. :) :) :)

Do you stay until the after the credits ran?

Have a great weekend, girl.
