Embracing Your Inner Cheesiness

I am a huge dork.  Need proof?

Today I went to CVS.  I needed a few things, including shower gel (I bought 6 different scents).  I also thought I'd look for the TV Guide with those yummy pics of Jared, but that issue isn't actually on the newsstand yet.

As is typical of me, there were some  non-essential things purchased as well as the shower gel (6 scents!) and Q-tips.

And by non-essential I mean Cheesetastic!

1.   Spongebob Squarepants mechanical pencils.  I don't even USE mechanical pencils, but hey...it was The Sponge

2.   Twizzlers.  Okay...those might fall under Necessary...at least in Jensen-speak!

3.  New shampoo and conditioner.  I think I have an addiction to yummy-smelling haircare products, much like my addiction to Bath & Body Works lotions, only to a smaller extent.

4.  Did I mention the shower gel (6 scents!)?  Yeah, that WAS necessary, but I really didn't need 6 different kinds.
Okay, maybe I did!  See above notation.

5.  Ahhhhh!  The pièce de ré·sis·tance...the crowning glory of today's purchases...the Musical!Toothbrush!

You, my dear flist, can also own one of these fabulous items!!!!

There are many tunes to choose from, including Queen's We Will Rock You, Kiss' Rock and Roll All Night, and the theme from Rocky (Gonna Fly Now)!!!!!!!!!  They also have a lot of songs from HSM (I know there are a few HSM fans on my flist).  Please visit the ToothTunes website to see other inspired musical choices and brusha-brusha-brusha your way to good dental hygiene!
No AC/DC or Zeppelin though...I was kinda bummed!

I purchased the one with the theme from Star Wars.  It also has sound effects!  *glee*  I don't see that one on the site though.  Bummer.  *frowns*

Ummmm...the only song choice that really confuses me is the Neil Sedaka.  WTF?!

On the Cheesetastic!Scale of 1 to 10 (1 being lame, 10 being EPIC!) this ranks right up there at a solid 6, right along with the Spongebob thermometer I bought a while ago, hee hee!

Also?  I totally believe Dean would purchase one of these toothbrushes.  Anything to annoy baby brother!

Ohh, but hey! they have the toothbrush with the Village People tune YMCA! Totally worth it!

That's probably what Dean would buy for Sam?

Along with more bubblegum-flavored toothpaste. *giggle*

1. I honestly don't understand the appeal of SpongeBob Squarepants. Though if it was a Hello Kitty mechanical pencil I might have been tempted to buy it.

2. LOVE Twizzlers! Even before Jensen twizzled Jared!

3. We won't talk about my linen closet. Let's just say I don't need to worry about shampoo, lotions, deoderant, etc. for several months...uh...years.

4. See #3 above.

5. Hee hee! That's AWESOME!

We might have had the B&BW discussion before. I have like 30 different lotions of theirs & that doens't include the other non-B&BW lotions!!!!!

It's a sickness!!!!

SpongeBob thermometer and mechanical pencils! \o/

I want the one that plays Queen, though the KISS one is pretty cool too.

Um, I suddenly have the image of Jared and Jensen getting the Star Wars ones and using them like Lightsabres to fight. *lol*

It makes lightsaber noises!!!!! You also get bits of dialog (including Chewie).

I almost bought the Kiss one. Shit...I'll probably buy it next time I'm at the store. I have zero self-control when it comes to cheesy shit (& spoilers!).

ETA: the Spongebob thermometer plays the Sponge theme when it's done taking your temp!!!! AWESOME!!!!!!

Cannot. Stop. Laughing!

Also, I want one of those Star Wars toothbrushes. I mean, sound effects?! Awesome!

Let's all get one for Dallas!!!!!

I'll have to remember to bring it with me.

Awesome. I want one.

Okay. A Spongebob thermometer would be far more practical for me than a singing toothbrush (note that the last time I used a thermometer was circa 1980).

I assume it vibrates? *shivers* *pets teeth, reassuringly*

I thought about you when I swiped all of the mini B&BW supplies in our AWESOME Inn room Saturday morning, Rap. Okay, I let my friend swipe all B&BW minis because technically, I can afford my own, but I did use the Coconut-Lime barsoap & it was yummy. Not quite as yummy as the *ahem* TEMPURPEDIC BEDS!!!

I am seriously - and I mean SERIOUSLY - wracking my brain for excuses to stay in SLC for a week just so that I can sleep there. But if I do that, and it pans out, I'd have to buy one, and I realllllllllly don't have the room. Money would help, too, but, some things are worth selling your soul for, right? Am I right?!! ;)

P.S. So, Rap, I might need to borrow one of your SpongeBob placemats while I'm thinking about it... :D

Yeah, Ocean. I'm hoping to get a chance to test this theory while we're in Dallas! But shhhh, let's keep it on the DL.

OK, all this talk about the Sponge Bob thermometer that plays a tune when it's done? See I'm thinking that it's for a kid, and I have kids, and especially when they are babies, do you know where they take that temp?

I'm thinking that I need to stop by a CVS for a Star Wars toothbrush.

That is the Bestest. Toothbrush. Eva!!! I've seen the musical ones but never a Stars Wars one. They so need to be making Supernatural ones with different Sam and Dean quotes. Although if my toothbrush started talking at me in Jensen or Jared's voice, I'd probably be slightly unnerved.

Buying six different flavours of bodywash is totally something I'd do too. I love Calgon stuff - something we sadly don't get in Australia - so whenever someone goes holidaying in the USA the order goes in for bottles of the stuff and the sprays. The bodywash is the first to go :)
