I wonder if Jay will drink from the Cup?
Side note regarding Hasuck: I'm not going to believe it until we get to this time next year without him coming back.
I'll be posting more hockey stuff during the summer as an attempt keep my withdrawal symptoms at bay, so please forgive the spamming.
I'm starting off with the first entry to the Stanley Cup Journal (by Kevin Shea), which is a general recap of Wednesday's celebrations along with some great photos.
I especially love the one of Draper and Mini!Draper.

The Red Wings just eliminated the Predators from the Playoffs! Chris Osgood gets a Game 6 shut-out! I think he should start for the rest of the Red Wings Playoff run...fuck Hasuck. Hee hee, that rhymed!
AWESOME!!!!!!!!
Red Wings goals: Nick Lidstrom (short-handed), Juri Hudler, and Brian Rafalski (empty net).
Way to go, my darling boys!
Also, I must give major props to Dan Ellis, the Nashville goalie. He faced over 200 shots on net (through 6 games)! This dude is the Real Deal and I wholeheartedly urge the Wings to do whatever they can to sign him up for next season. Did I mention he was cute?!?!
Excuse me now...I have some drinking to do!

Suck it up, kids! *wink*
My boys have already started growing their beards. This is a tradition during the Playoffs. For further explanation, I direct you to a great site, appropriately named Playoff Beard.com. Not only does Captain Bosh give you Playoff deets, he also has a handy dandy system for grading Playoff beard growth. My pals from the TVGuide Community may remember me talking about this site last year.
Even if you're NOT a hockey fan, please check out the grading system. I think it's freakin' HILARIOUS!
Hey, did you know that Chuck Norris is the Patron Saint of Facial Hair?!
GO WINGS!!!!
Bring Lord Stanley's Cup back to Hockeytown!!!!
If anyone wants me to keep tabs on their home state's team, let me know.
Otherwise it may be ALL RED WINGS, ALL THE TIME! *snort*

Other Tru Fax about the Wings:
1. The Red Wings have won the most Stanley Cup championships (10) of any NHL franchise based in the United States and are third overall in total NHL championships, behind the Montreal Canadiens (24) and Toronto Maple Leafs (13).
2. The Red Wings have made the playoffs in 23 of the last 25 seasons, including the last 17 in a row (which is the longest active streak in professional sports).
3. This is the Wings eighth consecutive season for 100 or more points.
4. We're AWESOME!!!!!
